It’s a large stone block with writings on it, which people usually build into a public building near the bottom to mark its opening by an important person. There are three facts to note here. There are mainly 3 different materials Goleza Designers uses to make quality foundation stones. They include
- Granite stone This is a strong type of stone most people prefer. In Uganda, it’s available in black, white and other colours. We apply colour to the writings to make them distinctive from the background after engraving.
- Marble stone This stone type comes in several different colours and produces good foundation stones. It’s not as pricey as granite. We use colour to the stone writings.
- DuraBlack aluminium Durablack aluminium is a type of metal with 0.020 inches thick that is too strong to withstand any harsh conditions. It produces crystal clear engraving results with white words. It’s pricey but makes very good durable commissioning stones with a nice look. The engraved white writings overlayed against the black background results in a white and black engraving.
