Which Materials Do We Use in our Metal Engraving Services?
Currently, we use two types of laser markable aluminium metals: DuraBlack and AlumaMark. We buy them from the leading manufacturers of printable aluminium used to produce labels, nameplates and much more with an experience of over 70 years in the same business. DuraBlack DuraBlack as the name suggests is a black-coated aluminium, which when engraved reveals a white background. It is a perfect metal for outdoor applications because it is all-weather resistant. We use it for mainly signage, placards, barcodes and asset tags.
AlumaMark Metal Engraving
AlumaMark AlumaMark is a wonderful material in metal engraving. It comes in different colours but the most commonly used colours are silver and gold. AlumaMark engraves black and the result is always a photographic quality image with rich detail. We use it in a number of applications, including and not limited to interior signage, founder plaques, corporate awards, name badges, serialized plates, certificate reproductions and property tags. It also comes with adhesive backing for easy mounting on anything you have.
Do We Also Offer Other Metal Engraving Services?
Engraved Tools
Yes, we offer other metal engraving services apart from the ones mentioned above. We engrave on uncoated metals like stainless steel, chrome, aluminium, titanium and other metals. On such metals, we apply a metal marking solution to engrave anything you want on them.
If you have any tools and other metallic items you want to mark, you just bring them to our shop and we mark them for you.
What’s the Cost of Engraving on Metals?
For drop-in jobs, where you come with your own tools, we charge according to the size of the engraving. The bigger the engraving area, the more money we shall charge you for doing the job. Secondly, customers with big engraving jobs usually stand higher chances of getting good discounts. For jobs where we use substrates like AlumaMark and DuraBlack, we charge according to the materials we use to do the job. For instance, if you need an AlumaMark metal plaque mounted on a wooden frame, we shall charge you for the frame itself and for the metal sheet depending on its size. The more materials we use to do the job, the more money we charge.
